Kawaiikunee Acceptable Usage Policy

The kawaiikunee.com domain is a commercial site devoted to its paying customers. We offer email POP3 service, mail forwarding, mailing list hosting, web hosting and web design services. In this light, we have adopted an AUP based on the following two principles:

• first, we assume that you are a legal adult, or supervised by same,
• second, we assume that you are in possession of minimal clue.

In this light, we assume that you have obtained any permissions that your jurisdiction deems appropriate for content you may choose to pay us to host, and that you will take responsibility for any access restrictions or content restrictions that may apply to that content. Kawaiikunee views itself as being in the business of providing bandwidth and server space only, and will take action only in the event that these commodities are imperiled.

Specifically, the following are violations of acceptable usage:

• Knowing plagarism of content, as reported by the injured party to kawaiikunee administrators.
  
• Substantive damage to intellectual property, by violation of copyright or trademark for commercial purposes.
  
• Kookery; that is, repeated and extended violations of nettiquette or good conduct, as reported to kawaiikunee administrators and confirmed by them and as tending to lead towards bad consequences for the domain as a whole in the administrators' opinion.
  
• Material which may, for whatever reason, be illegal for a server to hold in the jurisdiction of Atlanta, GA, USA, in the unfortunate event that such should occur.

These offenses are punishable by immediate removal of unacceptable content by kawaiikunee administrators, or by closure of account, or by warning message, or by account restriction, at the administrators' discretion.

The following are serious violations of acceptable usage:

• Spam, that is, unsolicited commercial email. In any amount.
  
• Attempts to break security or deny service to or from the kawaiikunee server, or to break security or deny service at another server that originates from an kawaiikunee account.
  

Offenses of this nature will result in immediate closure of account upon detection, and also incur a 'clean-up' fee of US$200 per incident. A second or further offense will result in a permanent blackball from kawaiikunee and all associated domains for the offending party.
