Once upon a time, there was an Angel named Netanya. Netanya was a Bright Lilim with black wings who had geased herself, among other things, never to take a profit where a gift might be given and never to avoid pissing off anyone who deserved it. For these reasons, or perhaps for others, she was given a Word; the Angel of the Selfless Gift. Who gave her the Word? Well, nobody really knows, but it wasn't the Seraphim Council. Most Angels figure it's just one of those things. And, despite the fact that a fair proportion of the Nobility of Hell wanted her very thoroughly and exceedingly terminated with _extreme_ prejudice she somehow managed to keep going. Which may prove that the Symphony _Needs_ someone to give the Archangel Dominic a kitten and the Demon Prince Andre a piece of good advice. Or, then again, it may not. Ineffibility is like that. Netanya is located here: http://www.kawaiikunee.com/in_nomine/ Now you know enough to go on with. This is an adventure seed in three parts. It is meant to occur over a week of game time, and is therefor entitled A Week In The Life. The Adventure works with Angelic or Demonic PCs. The Adventure itself is probably marginally more survivable by Demonics, but the Aftermath of the Adventure probably reverses that. All that is needed for general setup is for the PCs, en masse, to owe Netty a favor. _How_ you arrange for this is up to you, but keep in mind that the structure of the adventure hinges on Netty using her Geas-hooks to Ramp up into larger and larger Geasa by sending the PCs to do things that they then end up Needing help with. If the original hook was a favor owed for giving a Problem PC something to do to prevent him from getting the rest of the PCs in trouble .... Well, that's just icing on the cake, ne? Be aware that any time Netanya gets a Geas hook on someone and uses it to fulfill a Need for someone _else_ she gets a Geas from the Symphony, which activates at a random time. This gives her the Luck of Teela Brown. The GM should undoubtably make Maximum use of this effect, but try not to gloat out loud. A Day in the Life, Part One: Hungry, Hungry Haagenti See, there's this Demon Prince named Haagenti, who has a problem. Well, two problems, really. First, there's an Angel of a Food who's been getting on his nerves. Seriously on his nerves, to the point that Haagenti has been seriously Needing to find out where this particular Angel is. Second, he's been getting a bit ... bored ... with the grub lately. And when Gluttony gets bored with food he's in a fairly pitiable state. He Needs something to ... spice up ... his diet. Sad 'Genti! Fortunately there's helpful Netanya, who happens (for the first need) to have the Angel's current location easily to hand (I recommend Moe Lane's Jaeliel, the Angel of Gummi Bears, but whatever floats your boat). And, for the second Need, helpful Netty _also_ has the very latest in Vaputech Suitcase Celestial Nukes, which she ... found ... last week. It should cost 'Genti a vessel and a force or six, which should surely be spicy enough to wake _anybodies'_ appetite up. And if he gets a tummyache, well ... maybe he also needed a lesson as to why you don't go around putting anything you find into your mouth, hmmm? Very sad 'Genti! Unfortunately, this raises a pair of new Needs. (Work, work, work. Poor Netty.) First, of course, is the Angel her/him/itself, which has suddenly developed a raging Need to be Elsewhere when Haagenti comes calling, if only he/she/it knew the need was there. And second, there's poor, sad Vapula, working all day in the Lab, slaving away over a hot test tube, what thanks does he get? What thanks, I ask you? He really Needs a test report filed on his play pretty, don't you think? I do too! Fortunately, there's helpful Netanya, who will be more than glad to give the Angel a heads-up. Escort them to safety, even. And fill out a report? Why she'll fill it out in quintuplicate and file backup copies with the Archives and the Game, so it doesn't get lost. Helpfull Netty! Unfortunately, this requires Netty to be in two places at one time, and while she _is_ good, she ain't _that_ good. Poor Netty! Fortunately, Netty has lots of ... friends ... who Owe her ... favors. Like, say, the PCs. Now, Netty would _never_ ask for a favor for _herself_, but doing favors for _other_ people ... why, that's what being a Bright is all _about_, isn't it? So Netty will be _happy_ to let the PCs work off their debt by a small simple matter of an extraction and escort. No problem, should take less than a day, easy work. Kind Netty! Unfortunately, that mean old 'Genti may just show up too soon, and that nasty old suitcase nuke is gonna make a _lot_ of noise. Calabim of Gluttony? What Calabim of Gluttony? OHhhhhh .... _Those_ Calabim of Gluttony! Poor PCs! Fourtunately Netty will be _glad_ to help them out. She's just got to file these reports, won't be a minute. Oh look! A chase! And a fight scene, too! How lovely! (Clap, clap.) Won't this be fun?
